Careers on Wheels!

We had our 1st annual "Careers on Wheels" day on Friday, and it was a HUGE success! Ms.Duperly(Davis) planned an awesome event, and the kids were engaged the entire 2.5 hours we were outside....which is nearly impossible to do.

She coordinated all different careers that have some type of specific vehicle to come and park around the track, and allow the kids to learn about their profession. There was everything from a dump truck (KB Homes), a JEA cherry picker, a police car, a Coast Guard boat, a Kona Ice food truck and more!! The kids absolutely loved it.

THANKS MS.DUPERLY FOR PLANNING SUCH AN AMAZING EVENT FOR US! :)

KB Homes (Dump Truck)

EMT (Ambulance)
(Notice the bandaged up bear on the stretcher..Haha)

Kona Ice Food Truck (We DID question why the penguin was on the beach with ice around... Wouldn't it MELT?!)

Learning about the "Blood Mobile"... This was our slump where we had to overcome exhaustion. It's tough being five at times... ;)

U.S. Coast Guard (Rescue Boat)

(I think I can confidently say that this was our favorite. The kids did NOT want to get off the boat.)

JEA (Cherry picker truck)

JSO (Police car... and we loved Officer Dwayne!)

(The Road Rangers were great sports!)

(The kids were BESIDE themselves...Officer Evie was too funny!)

Fire and Rescue!

....and then we promptly went inside and CRASHED. I don't think I've ever seen the wild things SO wiped out.

However, we did get a second wind long enough to go outside and enjoy the PERFECT weather. <3 These three were taking it easy (and picture-ready), however, the rest of the cuties were off and running!
